Seniors' Ministry

Being a senior citizen does not mean one is allowed to "retire" from service in God's program!  Our seniors are active in many facets of the ministry here at Valley View.  Areas in which our seniors are involved include:

  1. Preparing meals and calling on the sick and shut-ins
  2. A vital prayer ministry
  3. Our monthly prison ministry at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility
  4. Serving in the nursery
  5. Serving as ushers
  6. Serving as greeters
  7. Cleaning and maintaining the church facility and grounds
  8. Teaching Sunday School
  9. Ladies' bible studies
  10. Outreach

One of the most well attended events of each month is the Seniors' Luncheon, held the first Tuesday of every month.  These luncheons are hosted by our pastor and his wife, and provide a unique combination of faith, fellowship, food and fun!

Our seniors are essential in passing-on the faith from one generation to the next.  For that reason, we believe it is extremely important to have them rubbing shoulders with members of every age, in every aspect of ministry.
